She has a special appreciation for people who are relocating or starting fresh in a new community. As a child, Shawntelle’s family moved often because of her father’s work, and she understands firsthand how emotional and important a move can be — especially when it means settling into a new city. That experience continues to shape the way she works today, with empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help people feel at home.

Before real estate, Shawntelle built valuable experience through post-secondary studies in event planning, where she developed a strong eye for detail, organization, and creating meaningful experiences for others. She has also been deeply involved in volunteer and fundraising work, including her support of Team Diabetes, where she helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for the Canadian Diabetes Association. Her commitment to community has also been recognized through a United Way Award, and her professional drive was reflected early on when she ranked among the Top Ten in sales with MINI Canada.

Outside of real estate, Shawntelle enjoys quality time with family, Edmonton’s incredible food and beverage scene, and many of the city’s festivals, with Folk Fest being one of her favourites. She also loves fast cars, sailing, animals, gardening, and travel. Whether enjoying the West Coast, escaping to Jasper, or planning adventures to New York and Europe, Shawntelle brings a sense of curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm to life — the same qualities she brings to her clients every day.

Troy King brings creativity, warmth, and a people-first mindset to every part of the real estate experience. He believes that great service starts with strong relationships, clear communication, and making sure clients feel informed and supported from beginning to end. His approach is friendly and thoughtful, and he takes pride in helping create a real estate experience that feels organized, personal, and positive.

Troy is especially passionate about community, connection, and the details that make both homes and neighbourhoods feel special. He enjoys helping clients not only find the right property, but also understand the lifestyle and opportunities around it. His strengths in communication, marketing, and client care help bring a fresh and creative energy to the business, while keeping people at the centre of every interaction.

Beyond real estate, Troy is actively involved in leadership and community service. He chairs board meetings for the Rutherford Village Condominium Association and values the opportunity to contribute to the strength and success of the community. He is also involved in Toastmasters, where he continues to build his communication and leadership skills. These experiences reflect his belief in continual growth, meaningful service, and showing up well for others.

When he is not working, Troy enjoys spending time with Shawntelle and their dog, Ella, exploring Edmonton, connecting with people, and finding creative ways to build community through both business and everyday life. He values authenticity, humour, and genuine relationships, and he brings those qualities into the way he works with clients and partners alike.

Ella, our beloved Assistant at Shawntelle in the City, brings tail wags, charm, and plenty of personality to the team. She is especially proud that we give back by donating a portion of our sales to the Edmonton Humane Society. As a happy Edmonton, Alberta dog, Ella loves being part of a business that cares about both people and animals in the community.
